Ecotherapy
"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."-Lao Tzu
What is Ecotherapy?
Ecotherapy is a modality of therapy that integrates earth and its systems as means for healing and integration. Ecotherapy sessions offer clients an opportunity to walk and talk while experiencing the healing benefits of being in nature. Therapy sessions in nature can support you in feeling more grounded, improve your mood and allow you to deepen your connection to nature. The vastness of nature can bring new perspectives and insights into the struggles you are experiencing as well as support the integration of the mind and body. I offer individual sessions and group sessions with adults and teens outdoors in various locations in Cupertino, Los Gatos and San Jose as well as seasonal workshops. (See below for current offerings)
"Walking while talking in nature allows me to express myself more fully and I always feel lighter after the sessions. As someone who has struggled with anxiety for their whole lives the sessions in nature taught me about how to integrate nature as a resource as well as experience the calming effects of nature on a different level. I have always been a nature lover but doing therapy in nature allows me to connect with nature in a deeper way as well as reduce my general anxiety significantly."
