About my

Therapeutic Approach

As your therapist, I will hold a space of unconditional positive regard based on my personal belief that each person has unlimited potentiality for change, healing and transformation. Just like a lotus blossoms in muddy waters, our current dissatisfactions, conflicts and pain can led us to deeper happiness and health. My approach is humanistic, holistic and heart-centered. As your therapist my hope is to create a warm and non-judgemental space for self-inquiry in order to breakthrough, transform and heal the patterns that are causing you suffering. My approach as a therapist is integrative as I use modalities that support the well being and integration of your mind, body and spirit.

The interventions I will invite you to participate in are mindfulness techniques (meditation, breath work, invitations to the present moment ), somatic work (noticing sensations in your body, movement, yoga), expressive arts (art therapy, poetry, journaling , writing), experiential (role plays, chair work, guided imagery) and cognitive behavioral therapy.  I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is an evidence based practice shown to be effective in decreasing psychological distress caused by traumatic and disturbing life events.  As your therapist, I will extend invitations to use these tools and modalities and will work with you to find approaches that fit your current needs. I am currently seeing individuals, (adults and teens) and offering two therapy groups. I offer individual eco therapy sessions in nature and via telehealth platform.

About me.

I am a therapist, a mother and practicing Buddhist. I derive deep happiness from helping others breakthrough the patterns, mindset and habits that are holding them back from living a life they love.

I have been interested in the healing arts since my teens when I began my own healing journey. During this time discovered the transformative power of modalities from Eastern philosophy, particularly Buddhism which is the philosophical practice I grew up with. I studied Cultural Anthropology at UC Santa Cruz, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at Columbia University and Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University, throughout seeking to gain the knowledge and wisdom to support others and create a better society.  I enjoy spending time in nature with family and friends. I love practicing yoga and meditation, creating community and engaging in the creative arts.
